FARMVILLE, Va. (SBG) - Mike Pence kicked off the 2016 vice presidential debate by appearing to thank the wrong host school.

Just minutes after the Republican Indiana governor sat down to face Virginia Senator and Democratic vice presidential nominee Tim Kaine at Longwood University, he thanked what sounded like "Norwood University."

"Thank you to Norwood University for their wonderful hospitality, the Commission on Presidential Debates - it's deeply humbling for me to be here," Donald Trump's running mate said.

Naturally, "Norwood University" began trending nationally on Twitter within minutes:
