Washington schools will no longer be able to suspend or discipline mis-behaving students, the new policy to start the school year in September begs a variety of questions about parental responsibility, sub-conscious bias/racism, and what happens when chronic problem students impede the educational opportunities of students who do behave? Let teachers (not activists) help craft the student discipline policies because teachers on the front line have a healthier perspective on this situation.
