Black Hawk chopper, classic cars among highlights of Spanaway WA event for families

Fans of superhero comic books, classic cars and military hardware will converge at Bethel High School tomorrow Saturday October 6th in Spanaway WA for All Bethel Community Day.

The event is free--perfect for kids and families--and open to the public at the school campus.

Among the scheduled highlights tomorrow:

8:30 a.m. – UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter scheduled to land

9 - 11 a.m. – Seahawks mascot Blitz

10 a.m. – Superhero parade starting in the cafeteria

10:30 a.m. – Rosie Thun parachutes into Art Crate Field

Also on site for everyone to see will be military vehicles from JBLM, the Air National Guard, and Graham Fire and Rescue. The vaunted LeMay Car Museum will showcase various classic cars and vehicles, too, from the LeMay Family Collection which are not normally on display at the museum near the Tacoma Dome.

There will be a dog show and free bike helmets.

Musical performances are slated by D.J. BlendMaster Mixxx, the Rhythm Ambassadors, Pierce County Big Band, and student performances from our schools.
