KVI's John Carlson interviews Kent Police Chief, Rafael Padilla, about the memorial for officer Diego Moreno who was killed July 22 as he was laying out spike strips to stop a suspect vehicle and driver fleeing police. Padilla talks about the remarkable strength of Moreno's mother for her eulogy and remarks at yesterday's memorial service at the Showare Center in Kent, WA.

The conversation includes some questions about two recent criminal cases that have jeopardized the safety of law enforcement in Kent (police and sheriff's deputies) as well as the public and whether or not the crimes are connected to gang activity.
