A bizarre kidnapping involving suspects in jumpsuits and hoods in Olympia has turned out to be a hoax.

The prank was originally considered a crime after a red Ford pick-up truck seen in surveillance footage was fleeing Olympia's Heritage Park.

Below is a WSP tweet with the original information about the suspects in jumpsuits pulling other people in the park into the truck around 10:30pm Wednesday.

Authorities initially reported that five or six men dressed in white plastic jumpsuits and hoods jumped out of a red Ford pickup, grabbed three people and put them in zip ties. The witnesses reported the victims were asking for help and for someone to call 911 before being driven off.

They could only describe one of the victims as a young girl around 4-6 years old, troopers said.

Now that Washington State Patrol has deemed the entire case a hoax, it reminds us in the KVI news room of the following scene in the comedy movie "Old School".
