KVI listeners and our sponsors raised $21,295 for Fred Hutchison cancer research at our first ever KVI Thanksgiving Brunch in Bothell at Russell's Restaurant and Loft.

Special thanks to Russell Lowell, owner of Russell's Restaurant and Loft and Brown Bear Car Wash for their generous donations. The $35 brunch admission ticket price all goes directly to Fred Hutch thanks to Russell's generosity. Brown Bear Car Wash donated over $7,000 from their daylong promotion last week of contributing $1 from each paid car wash at their Puget Sound tunnel wash locations.

KOMO's Mary Nam recorded a video message because she is fighting cancer right now and was unable to attend. KOMO reporter/anchors, Carleen Johnson and Marina Marina Rockinger both shared their personal stories about battling breast cancer.

We're already planning on hosting this KVI Thanksgiving Brunch again next November to raise money for cancer research. We hope you will join us in 2020.
