Seattle will not be home to Amazon's new "second" HQ. The retail/streaming content/tech leviathan just released a list of 20 final cities and Seattle is not included. No other Washington cities made the Amazon final 20 list either. Tacoma and Everett were among the local cities hoping to lure Amazon's vaunted 'co-equal' headquarters.
Among those making Amazon's final list: New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Boston, Toronto, Canada and three locations around the Washington D.C. metroplex.
Amazon's HQ2 is expected to bring $5 billion in investment, construction and payroll to the prevailing city. The website BusinessInsider.com just posted a list of some of the most lavish proposals submitted by interested cities to attract Amazon.
