      UW researcher sees up-tick in pollution with Seattle coal train traffic

      University of Washington-Bothell researcher Dr. Dan Jaffe joins John Carlson to talk about the results of his short-term, 6-month examination of coal train traffic near the Columbia River and northwest Seattle's Blue Ridge neighborhood. Jaffe says although his study is short term (the EPA requires a 3-year collection of air pollution data) he saw an increase in pollution with coal train traffic compared to other forms of train traffic.
