A man was struck and killed by a dump truck Wednesday morning as he tried to run across Interstate 5 in downtown Seattle, the Washington State Patrol reports. WSP is investigating why the man was attempting to cross the freeway. The fatality closed several traffic lanes creating 5-10 mile traffic back-ups on southbound I-5 into and through Seattle.
