KVI 6am-9am morning host, John Carlson, notes that the Washington State Democratic Party did not invite candidate for governor and current Democratic State Senator from Issaquah, Mark Mullet, to their party’s recently concluded state convention.

Ferguson is the current Attorney General of Washington now running to replace Gov. Jay Inslee. Inslee is not running for re-election after 12 years at the helm of Washington government.

“Mullet was not invited” to the Democrats’ state convention, says Carlson. Mullet has been the State Senator from Issaquah’s 5th District since and is also running for governor as a Democrat.

Carlson explains that the Washington State Democratic Party Chair, Shasti Conrad, said the state convention was “all about unity”. In response, Carlson quips, “It was unity among the people who were invited.”

A KVI listener sums up the state convention for Democrats saying, “No Mark Mullet at the Democrat’s convention? And that’s the party that’s going to preserve democracy??”

KVI’s 3-6pm afternoon host, Ari Hoffman, added the following reaction to the Democratic Party state convention…
