Convicted rapist now charged with pimping, prostituting women in Seattle

Next week, Seattle restores a law aimed at discouraging the congregation of prostitutes on North Aurora Avenue. On September 18th, the Seattle City Council restored an ordinance that was repealed by the City Council in 2020 as part of the ‘social justice’ agenda following the murder of George Floyd by a Minneapolis police officer. The restoration of this ordinance goes into effect 30 days after it was signed by Mayor, Bruce Harrell.

In the absence of a tougher ordinance to discourage the prostitution of women in Seattle, it allowed pimping–and other criminal activity–to flourish which is illustrated in the new criminal charges against Dawnte Jackson, 43, by the King County Prosecutor’s office.

“Why is this guy who fails to show up for court again and again…why isn’t this guy behind bars right now?”, asks KVI morning show host John Carlson.

Along with prior convictions for rape and assault, KOMO News reports that Jackson has 39 failure to appear (FTA) citations for prior court cases. There are currently 28 protection orders against Jackson by different women.

Carlson calls the King County justice system “disgraceful” for allowing Jackson to avoid accountability based on the previous rape and assault convictions.

KOMO News reports that one of Jackson’s previous victims told a judge, “Please take punishing this man very seriously. Next time he does this–and he will do this again–it may not turn out well for all involved.”
