Seattle Police have known since early on in the investigation the suspect’s identity who allegedly stabbed and killed a Metro bus driver Tuesday morning in Seattle’s University District.
The reason why Seattle Police were able to ID this murder suspect so quickly: The suspect has been arrested before for murder. But charges were never filed by the King County Prosecutor, according to KOMO News.

59-year old Metro driver Shawn Yim was was maced, dragged from his bus, and fatally stabbed in an alley near University Way Northeast on Tuesday morning around 3. According to KING 5 News, Yim went to high school in Tukwila, and in 1984, he graduated from Foster High School, where his former classmates said he was so well-liked that he was voted onto the Prom Court as “Prom Prince.”
