51% of WA residents support Trump ‘mass deportation’ plan

KVI Capitol Olympia

New poll of Washington residents seems to say that voters elect politicians that don’t actually do what they prefer–at least with immigration–according to KVI morning show host, John Carlson.

Carlson points to this passage in the Crosscut Elway poll of Washington voters: The poll asked respondents whether they think Washington state should cooperate or resist Trump’s stated plans to deport undocumented immigrants. A slight majority — 51% — responded that Washington state officials should cooperate. Washington state officials have been vocal about being a sanctuary for undocumented immigrants and resisting Trump’s deportation plans.

Carlson sums up, saying Washington voters show a majority support for a tougher stance on immigration policy and sanctuary status but yet the November 2024 general election results resulted in solid support for Democrats–Bob Ferguson for governor and Kamala Harris for President, compared to Trump–in Washington.

The John Carlson Show is heard weekdays from 6-9a on Talk Radio 570 KVI and 101.5 FM HD3.
