WA GOP lawmakers walked out of the chamber during Democratic Governor Jay Inslee‘s farewell address when he said Washingtonians wouldn’t “bend the knee” to a “would-be authoritarian’s worse impulses’ in reference to President Trump.
Inslee held onto emergency powers for 975 days.
Rep. Chris Corry from Yakima joins KVI’s Ari Hoffman to discuss why he walked out, and why he “wasn’t going to listen to the man who was the last to give up emergency powers in the nation, and fought any legislative checks on his power, make false inflammatory claims about our incoming President”.
