    1. John,
You have had an important place in my life, especially in the past few years since I’ve retired and been able to listen to your show. I have enjoyed common sense approach to politics, explaining local, state, and national stories. You have helped me stay pretty well informed on so many topics. I wish for you all the best in your new venture

    2. Hi John,
I am going to miss you in the mornings; you always have the latest on much of what is going on in the state.

BTW, I am coming to your party with guest on Friday. I won 2 tickets but I have not received the email regarding the location in KIrkand. I look forward to receiving the details.

      Best

    3. John, I wish you the best in your future endeavors. I have really enjoyed your morning program that has kept me informed about local and state politics, especially matters about election, tax and public safety policies and practices by the public officials. Your insight really shines the light on illegitimate behaviors by those in public office. Thank you.

  1. Your comment awhile back on former thoroughly non–police professional SPD Chief Fitzsimon as being needed back in Seattle was absurd —– SPD lost many real police professionals due to Ftizsimon’s corrupt and self–serving transgressions: before any investigation ever undertaken, Fitzsimon would routinely trot out his Barely Legal police spokesperson, Vinette Tichi, to say the latest murder was drug deal involvement, when it later turned out an innocent murder victim (no drugs involved on their side) had their reputations destroyed after losing their lives!

It was under Rice/Fitzsimon the SPD became know as the Bùtt Patrol as one night Mayor Norm "swinger club" Rice’s SPD detail rushed him to Harborview ER because hismlatest swinger club adventure found him with a vibrator shoved way up his lazy a…… (Still held on to evidence of that should anyone ever sue for slander/libel!)

Also, it was Rice/Fitzsimon who asserted "There are no gangs in Seattle!" —- when gang activities were routinely behind too many homicides (gang initiation "thrill kills") —- am I the 9nly one who recalls this???

The local MS–13 chapter was doing gang initiations six blocks from the UW campus at residential Cowan Park?!

Four years now and the same public adverts for illegal drugs — tied shoes tossed over telephone and power cables — remain in full view around downtown Seattle and Capitol Hill and elsewhere — police, police union, city council, cit government, director of public safety, city attorney, etc. ALL IGNORED request for action 9n it —- city government a d elected officials fully support illegal drugs and all crime!!!

  2. Been listening to you for years when we lived in Kirkland years ago had the opportunity to meet you. We now live back home in Eastern Washington for the last 23 years and get to listen via podcast or live. Will miss you on radio but what a opportunity to work for Kemper.
    God Bless You

  3. John,

I have listened to you for decades! I always appreciated not only your perspective, but the way you spoke to those who may disagree with you. It truly is the end of an era! I wish you all the best in your future plans! Spend lots of time on that bike! Thanks for great commentary!

  4. Hi John-

My husband and I had the pleasure of meeting you at the Steak of the union party at Daniel’s Broiler about 5 years ago. I have listened to your show since you were on with Ken Schram. I loved your banter. Your show with him was the definition of “healthy debate”. I’ll never forget when we lost SPD officer Brenton and the next Month the Lakewood 4. You and Ken were SO supportive of Law Enforcement and made no bones about supporting those who protect us. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about that. God rest Ken’s soul. All the best to you John!!! You will be missed!!!!

  5. … Well, Mr Carlson, been listening to you since the early days and you were always a ‘go-to’ for my listening pleasure; especially, when I was at work pushing that KCSO patrol unit through greater King County – You help me to maintain my ‘sanity’, on many a morning.

You kept Washingtonian’s appraised and informed, AND helped to change the political landscape of Washington, over the years, AND for the betterment of it’s citizens – For that I say "thank you".

Although myself [now retired] and my Family no longer reside in the ‘State of Chaos & Insanity’, I still have enjoyed listening to you, over a hot cup of coffee. Good luck on your ‘new’ adventure(s) and have fun.

Respectfully yours and God Bless, you and your Family,

    – Ed Brown

  6. John: God bless you, in all that you do. You will be, GREATLY, missed every morning. I feel I’m losing a close friend. Don’t know how they are going to be able to replace you. God speed, in your new adventures. 🤠🤘👻

  7. Every morning on my commute, you were my constant companion. Things won’t be the same once you move on, but I truly wish you all the best in this new chapter of your life!

  8. John,

I moved to Seattle after college in 1995. One of the first things my coworker said to me back then was, "You have to listen to Kirby and John on KVI." I started listening and never looked back. You’ve been a voice of reason and sanity for many years, and I am grateful.

Your morning shows the last couple of years have been some of your best. Thank you for all that you have done, and God bless you and your family. You will be missed!

  9. We will miss you John! You’ve been a familiar daily voice for decades. I’ve appreciated your diplomatic and calm manner when dealing with those who don’t agree. Your wonderful voice and thoughtful research & reporting will be greatly missed. Bless you in your future plans!

  10. John,

Thank you for brightening up each morning as we all get ready for work each day! Your shoes will be hard to fill! You will be sorely missed on the airwave each and every Morning!

    Take Care!

  11. As a genuine populist conservative, never been a real fan —– I recall after 9/11 attacks military types and vets called into Kirby/John/Medved to try to explain — the three never–served RINOs just shut them down — and their predictions were spot on —– years later, Iran is stronger after the Iraq invasion, the Taliban are stronger than ever, the Houthis in Yemen, ditto!

And their refusal to ever address election fraud during the King County Elections employment of prisoner Jeffrey Dean; false arrest to smear Julie Kempf who raised the issue of employing a still imprisoned convict on a work release to code election systems, etc. (Charges against Ms. Kempf later dropped, of course!)

Real issues and real news constitute progress, not going with the status quo!
