Rep Pramila Jayapal’s ‘Resistance Lab’ teaches activists to take on the US government

The following article was adapted from the opening segment of  Wednesday’s episode of The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI and reflects the author’s opinion.

Representative Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) has a new plan, she calls it her “Resistance Lab” to allegedly protect against the fall of democracy and rise of dictatorships. Jayapal wants to take down the “pillars of support that allow the dictator to remain in power.”

Jayapal’s “Resistance Lab” will have training sessions to teach radical activists “tactics and strategies” to get them “strike-ready and street-ready” to take on the government.

She claims it will be non-violent, a “Velvet Revolution.” It sounds a lot like other “non-violent” resistance movements like Antifa and BLM. It sounds like Jayapal is planning a revolution; some might even call it an insurrection.

Over the weekend, Jayapal was at Tesla leading the mob against the dealership, targeting an American business, a local business. How is that any different than the 2020 “Summer of Love” that rocked Seattle? You’re playing with fire here because the lunatics in Seattle only have two modes, on and off. That’s it. There’s no in-between. There’s no “mostly peaceful protest.” Just ask the people who lived and worked in the 6 blocks that were taken over by BLM and Antifa rioters in the deadly 2020 autonomous zone.

These same activists shut down the I-5 freeway 6 hours on January 6, 2024, trapping emergency vehicles, including ambulances. Is that peaceful? Is that non-violent?

Jayapal sounds like she is encouraging a revolution because she doesn’t like the president of the United States. If Kamala Harris had won and I said I wanted to do a “velvet revolution” for which I teach you resistance tactics that you can use on the streets and against Democrats, I would be crucified by the mainstream media. They would claim I was planning a “deadly insurrection” and call me an election denier.

Jayapal’s plan sounds like it was discussed with lawyers and marketing people then tested on focus groups so she can say what she wants without getting into trouble. That is why what she is saying is so contradictory and confusing.

At the very least, US Attorney General Pam Bondi should be opening an investigation and requesting the educational materials to make sure none of these tactics being taught are violent or militaristic. Jayapal might be committing a very serious crime, US Code 2385- Advocating Overthrow of the Government which states, “Whoever knowingly or willfully advocates, abets, advises, or teaches the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying the government of the United States, or the government of any state, territory, district, or possession thereof, or the government of any political subdivision therein, by force or violence, or by the assassination of any officer or such government, or whoever with intent to cause the overthrow or destruction of any government, prints, publishes, edits, issues, circulates, sells, distributes, or publicly displays any written or printed matter, advocating, advising, or teaching the duty, necessity, desirability, or propriety of overthrowing or destroying any government in the United States by force or violence, or attempts to whoever organizes, or helps or attempts to organize any society, group, or assembly of persons who teach, advocate, encourage, and overthrow or destruction of any such government or force of violence, or becomes a member of affiliates with, or any society, group, or assembly of persons, knowing the purpose thereof, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than 20 years or both and shall be ineligible for employment by the United States or any department or agency thereof for five years following this conviction.”

It sounds like Jayapal checked a lot of those boxes. What happens if Pam Bondi actually goes after Jayapal with charges? The left will claim that President Donald Trump “weaponizing the the Department of Justice and the FBI to target a member of Congress, who’s a woman of color, and an immigrant family,.” And claim, “our democracy at stake,” all because Pramila Jayapal wants to overthrow the government.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Jayapal and Rashida Talib (D-MI) have introduced a joint resolution to halt the sales of offensive weapons to Israel, even as the Jewish state fights, for its survival in a seven front war in the wake of October 7.  Whether you agree with us selling Israel weapons, or disagree, Jayapal got support for her legislation from her fellow “progressive “Squad” members and an organization with ties to Hamas.

One of the organizations backing the legislation is the Council on American Islamic Relations, an organization that was singled out as an unindicted co conspirator in a 2013 Justice Department Office of Inspector General’s report during the largest terror trial in US history against the Holy Land Foundation, which was revealed to have funneled millions of dollars to Hamas. The 2008 case linked CAIR leaders to Hamas, a specially designated terrorist organization by the US, and CAIR was named as an “unindicted co-conspirator” in the case by the Justice Department.

Last year, the Biden administration scrubbed CAIR from the White House Task Force on antisemitism after the group’s co-founder, Nihad Awad, said the October 7 atrocities committed by Palestinian terrorists against Israeli civilians made him “happy.”

Steve Emerson, founder and director of the Investigative Project on terrorism, told the Jewish News Syndicate that CAIR was created as a Hamas front group and still functions as a propaganda arm of Hamas to this day. According to the Anti Defamation League, “Antisemitism is in the DNA of CAIR… leaders often traffic in antisemitic and anti-Zionist rhetoric. Some of its leaders have cultivated suspicion among the public toward a wide array of American Jewish institutions.” The embattled Muslim advocacy group, one of the largest non profits operating in the US, recently agreed to settle a case with a former employee rather than open its books to reveal sources of foreign funding. This is the group that Jayapal got to support her initiative.

Once you have the complete picture, it sounds like a congresswoman who got the backing of a group with ties to a radical terrorist group is advocating for the overthrow of the US government.  Do you think I’m overreacting, or do you think Jayapal should be investigated immediately?
