The Northwest Auto Show airs from 6-9am every Saturday on AM 570 KVI. It’s hosted by Tom Turner, who has worked in the automotive field for the past 37 years. His experience includes working at service stations, dealerships, parts stores, machine shops, and speed shops. Tom began drag racing in 1974 and has competed in NHRA events ever since, winning a variety of titles and finished in the top 10 (modifieds) from 1975-79. He won the NHRA Winternationals in 1985 and most recently won the Northwest Nationals in 1997. Tom was inducted into the NHRA Northwest Division HALL OF FAME in 2018. He continues to compete.

Beyond his credentials and experience, Tom is glib, entertaining and informative.

But, as the owner of a current show advertiser (Plateau Diesel Performance) says, “What sets Tom apart is the strong ethics he conveys. He believes in doing things the right way. What the public wants is a service provider they can trust and that has knowledge. I had one customer walk in to do business with us and said… ‘If Tom Turner recommends you, you’ve got to be good.’”
