It's always sad when a good cop dies young. Seattle Police Officer Lexi Harris, still in her 30s, had stopped to help out at an accident scene on I-5 in Seattle just minutes after completing her shift last weekend, when she was hit by another vehicle. She died at the scene. Officer Harris was known throughout the department for bringing the community and fellow cops closer together. Her sudden loss has shocked fellow officers and the many people who dearly cared about her. If you would like to help her family continue the community service efforts she has performed both before and during her policing career, a fund has been created to do that and you can make a donation to that fund by clicking this link.

According to the Seattle Police Officer's Guild, 100% of every dollar raised will go to her family so they can help carry on Lexi’s mission of community service.
